Bookkeeping and taxes for people who are already doing three jobs
You didn’t start your business to categorize transactions at 10pm on a Sunday. Hand the books to someone who does this all day, and who’ll file your return when the year closes.
Three things I hear constantly
“I’m months behind.”
The books were fine in February and then work got busy. Now there’s a year of transactions sitting uncategorized and you’re avoiding the whole thing. This is the single most common call I get, and it is entirely fixable.
“I have no idea what I owe.”
You find out what you owe when the return is finished, which is the worst possible time to find out. Current books plus estimated tax planning means you know months ahead of time.
“My accountant won’t call me back.”
You had a quick question in June and never got an answer. It’s the complaint I hear more than any other, and it’s the reason I built the firm the way I did.
Books you can trust, closed every month
Every plan is built on the same three things. What changes between plans is how many accounts I’m reconciling and how often we talk.
- Categorizing transactions: every line coded correctly and consistently
- Reconciling accounts: matched to the statement, every month, no exceptions
- Financial statements: a profit and loss and balance sheet you can actually read
- Your tax return: prepared and filed by the same person who kept the books
Behind on your books? Cleanup is its own project, quoted separately after I look at the account. Once it’s straightened out, monthly service keeps it that way.
Not on QuickBooks Online yet? I’ll set it up for you and get your history in. That’s a one-time project, quoted up front.
Getting started takes about a week
1. Discovery call
Fifteen or twenty minutes. You tell me about the business and where the books stand. I tell you what I’d recommend and what it costs.
2. I look at the file
I review your QuickBooks Online account, or set one up if you don’t have one, and confirm the plan and any cleanup needed.
3. We get you connected
Secure portal access, bank feeds connected, and a short list of what I need from you. Usually one sitting.
4. Monthly rhythm begins
Books closed, statements delivered, and a review call on the schedule your plan includes. Tax return handled at year end.
Any small business. Some I know especially well.
I work with small businesses of all kinds across Pennsylvania and New York. The work I enjoy most and know best is with local service businesses, trades, and restaurants: owner-operated shops where the books need to be right but nobody has time to keep them that way.
Trades & contractors
Job costing, equipment, subcontractor payments, and the receipts that live in the truck.
Local service businesses
Invoicing, recurring customers, and keeping cash flow visible month to month.
Restaurants
Daily sales, tips, vendor bills, and cost of goods that actually reconciles.
QuickBooks Online
Every client, one platform. ProAdvisor since 2023.

Business FAQs
Usually within a week of our call. If your existing QuickBooks Online file is in reasonable shape, I take over at the start of the next month. If it needs cleanup first, that’s a separate project I’ll quote before starting.
Very little once we’re set up. Bank and credit card feeds connect directly to QuickBooks Online, so most transactions arrive on their own. I’ll reach out about anything I can’t identify, and you’ll get your statements once the month is closed.
Yes, preparation of your business tax return is included in all three bookkeeping plans. When one person keeps the books and prepares the return, the return is built from records that were already reconciled.
Additional accounts are $25 per month each. If you have a lot of accounts, the Complete plan includes unlimited reconciliation and usually works out cheaper.
I don’t run payroll in-house, but I keep your books payroll-ready and work alongside whichever provider you use, making sure everything posts correctly and reconciles at year end.
Most of my clients are local service businesses, trades, and restaurants. If you’re a small business in PA or NY on QuickBooks Online, we’ll get along fine.
